For travelers docking at Incheon, a DMZ shore excursion offers a rare chance to explore one of the world’s most unique and historically significant borders — the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). This tour combines powerful reminders of Korea’s divided history with the natural beauty of Gamaksan Mountain and its scenic suspension bridge.
Walk through history at Imjingak Park, cross the symbolic Bridge of Freedom, and descend into the Third Infiltration Tunnel, once secretly dug by North Korea. From the Dora Observatory, gaze across the border into North Korean territory, where villages and guard posts remain frozen in time. The day concludes at Gamaksan Suspension Bridge, offering peaceful mountain views — a symbolic contrast to the tension and hope of the DMZ.
This full-day Incheon shore excursion blends history, reflection, and nature, giving visitors a deeper understanding of Korea’s past and present.

08:00 – Pickup at Incheon Port
Meet your private driver and English-speaking guide at the cruise terminal. Depart for Paju, home to the DMZ, about 1.5 hours away.
09:30 – 10:00 – Imjingak Park (임진각 평화누리공원)
Start your DMZ journey at Imjingak Park, a symbolic site filled with monuments, war relics, and memorials dedicated to reunification. See the Freedom Bridge, once used by returning prisoners of war, and ribbons tied by families wishing for peace.
10:15 – 11:00 – Bridge of Freedom (자유의 다리)
Walk along this historical bridge that once connected North and South Korea. It remains one of the most poignant reminders of the Korean War and the longing for reunion.
11:15 – 12:30 – The Third Infiltration Tunnel (제3땅굴)
Descend underground into the secret tunnel built by North Korea to infiltrate the South. The experience is both fascinating and sobering — a powerful symbol of conflict and vigilance. (Hard hats provided; moderate walking required.) Advanced reservation is required.
12:45 – 13:30 – Dora Observatory (도라전망대)
Atop Mount Dora, look through telescopes across the Demilitarized Zone into North Korea. See Kijong-dong (“Propaganda Village”) and the world’s tallest flagpole, along with the striking divide between the two Koreas. Advanced reservation is required.
13:45 – 14:30 – Lunch (Local Korean Cuisine)
Meals are typically enjoyed at Imjingak Park, where several local restaurants offer Korean dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, and tofu stew.
For group tours, lunch can also be arranged at Unification Village, a peaceful farming community inside the civilian control zone known for its traditional Korean specialties and locally sourced ingredients.
15:00 – 16:15 – Gamaksan Mountain Suspension Bridge (감악산출렁다리)
Walk across the Chulleongdari Suspension Bridge, one of Korea’s most scenic skywalks. Stretching 150 meters across a forested valley, it offers sweeping mountain views — a refreshing finale after a morning of reflection.
16:15 – 17:00 – Return to Incheon Port
Relax on the return journey, with time for quiet reflection on the day’s experiences.
* Upon arrival at Imjingak Park, the tour order may vary depending on the assigned DMZ entry time issued by park authorities. For example, if there is waiting time before DMZ access, your guide may first take you to explore Imjingak Park and nearby memorial sites before entering the DMZ area. This ensures a smooth experience and full coverage of all scheduled attractions within the day.
